OTDify respects your privacy and collects the minimum data necessary for proper operation. This policy explains what data we collect, how it’s used, and your rights.

1. Data We Collect​

OTDify only collects the following information:

1.1 Server Configuration Data​

  • Channel IDs where daily content should be posted
  • Server ID and preferences for enabled OTD categories

1.2 Basic Technical Logs​

  • Error logs (non-identifiable)
  • Command usage for debugging (may include User ID only when necessary to identify issues)

1.3 No Message Content Collection​

OTDify does NOT store:

  • User messages
  • Server chat logs
  • Personal identifying information

2. How We Use Data​

We use collected data only to:

  • Deliver scheduled daily OTD content
  • Ensure the bot functions correctly
  • Fix technical issues
  • Provide support when requested

We never sell or share your data.

3. Data Storage​

  • Configuration settings are stored in secure, private databases.
  • Logs are temporary and automatically cleared.
  • No long-term personal data storage occurs.

4. Third-Party APIs​

OTDify interacts with external APIs such as:

  • NASA APOD
  • Merriam-Webster
  • Public history/joke/quote sources

We do not send any personal data to these services.

5. Data Removal​

Server owners may request complete deletion of their server’s stored configuration. Contact us through the support server.

6. Children’s Privacy​

OTDify does not target or knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Use of the bot must comply with Discord’s age requirements.

7. Policy Updates​

This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. Continued use of the bot implies acceptance of changes.
